🌉🚂 テックレンブルガー・ノルトバーンの鉄道橋は、ラインとヘアステル間の地域でドルトムント・エムス運河（DEK）を跨ぐ、顕著な土木構造物です。この橋は、この地域の鉄道交通の再開を目指す上で、重要な遺物であり、同時に象徴でもあります。

🚲✨ ドルトムント-エムス運河（DEK）は、ドイツで最も重要な水路の1つであるだけでなく、橋の建築に関する本物の野外博物館でもあります。ドルトムントからパーペンブルクまでの道のりで、運河は数百の構造物にまたがっているか、さらに壮観なことに、川を橋として渡っています。

The old rectory in Schapen was built in 1739. Today it serves as a meeting place, educational center, and exhibition space. The attic houses an exhibition about the "Tödden"—itinerant merchants from the region—as well as about the Schapen coin hoard. Guided tours are available upon request (phone: +49 5458 98510; email: schapen@spelle.de). However, the complex is well worth a visit even without a guided tour. In addition to the former rectory, the grounds include a former brewery (now used for weddings), a blacksmith's shop built in 2012, and a bakehouse from 2020 where "Schapen Bishop's Bread" is baked. Right next door is the community park with a pond, paths, seating, a pétanque court, and a small playground. It's a place that invites visitors to linger.

⚓ Things to know for your visit: The Bevergern lock is an impressive feat of engineering that overcomes a drop of approximately 8.10 meters. It's fascinating to watch the huge ships being moved up or down the lock chamber.

⛵ At the Bevergern lock in Hörstel, there are wonderful opportunities to relax and watch the activity on the water.

⚙️ The Altenrheine Lock The centerpiece of this section is the Altenrheine Lock. It overcomes a drop of approximately 3.60 meters. The current lock chamber is 190 meters long and 12 meters wide.

Here, the difference in elevation of approximately 10 meters between the lower-lying Dortmund-Ems Canal and the Mittelland Canal is overcome. It is a technical monument and the site often referred to as the "Great Bevergern Lock".
