Gradient is pretty even, the road is pretty large and recently paved. Not much shade this high up. From the top, you can keep climbing towards Floresta and Randazzo (maybe all the way to the Etna?) or take a right turn and descend towards Tortorici, the valley and (eventually) the coast

It seems that the name of this sanctuary derives from the Latin "bimaris", since from the summit of the homonymous mountain it is possible to enjoy the view of the two seas (the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea) as well as admire the city of Messina and its Strait.
