Gradient is pretty even, the road is pretty large and recently paved. Not much shade this high up. From the top, you can keep climbing towards Floresta and Randazzo (maybe all the way to the Etna?) or take a right turn and descend towards Tortorici, the valley and (eventually) the coast

Narrow and relatively steep climb, with a couple rest-bite sections. Well shaded in the summer, it's a gateway to the inner valleys of the Nebrodi. The pavement is ok, although it would definitely enjoy some maintenance. At times, the road can be somewhat busy (for a mountain climb, that is), but in my experience drivers are patient
