The profile of the Dead Man resembles a face lying down, with a slightly large nose ;) It can be observed well from both the Garfagnana and Versilia sides. Above the Rossi refuge, a climb of a few minutes takes you to the chin of the Dead Man. A detour to the left takes you to the nose instead.

Starting point for several excursions. The parking is spacious and paid (3€ per day). The parking meter is a few minutes drive down. I recommend paying for parking because they carry out checks.
