Attention: Bridge closed to traffic as of April 2025! There is a large construction site cordoned off, and no access is possible. Either take a 10 km detour or walk down to the beach and cross there.

The Bay of Guidaloca is a quiet spot, especially in the off-season, ideal for relaxing days by the sea. Easy access by car and available parking make it a convenient destination for families and travelers who want to enjoy Sicily's natural beauty away from the hustle and bustle.

The SS187 is a winding state road that winds from Castellammare del Golfo towards Belvedere and then on to San Vito lo Capo. The climb offers fantastic views of the bay and the expansive sea – especially in the early morning hours or just before sunset. Tip: The route is very popular with road cyclists – it's a steady climb with good asphalt and little traffic during the off-season. Those who take a break at Belvedere will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the west coast of Sicily. Be sure to have your camera ready!

Guidaloca Beach is a beautiful, crescent-shaped pebble bay with turquoise waters, framed by rocks and green hills. The beach is ideal for a swim – whether with the family, for snorkeling, or simply relaxing with a view of the sea. Facilities are available: parking, umbrella rentals, and a small café right on the beach ensure comfort. Tip: If you're on a road bike, the bay is a great place to stop for a quick refreshment – it's located directly on the SP63. A dip in the sea or an espresso with a sea view make this the perfect stopover!

Spectacular views of Castellammare del Golfo and the entire coastline! Ideal as a stopover on a road bike tour along the SP63 or SP187. The climb is short but challenging – about 2km with a gradient of approximately 6–8%, but you'll be rewarded with a truly postcard-perfect view. Tip: It's best to start in the morning or late afternoon – the light is at its best and there's less traffic. Perfect for a quick drink and a photo break – there's plenty of room to stop safely. Caution: No shade and no water source – refill beforehand! The road surface is good, but watch out for loose stones on the descent.
