The Val Gerola regional forest, located in the Orobie Valtellinesi and crossed by the Bitto stream, offers a rich alpine ecosystem with mixed mountain and subalpine spruce forests. This area, divided between Dosso Cavallo and Alpe Culino, is home to various tree species such as silver fir, red fir, beech and larch. The forest is also known for the historic mountain pastures producing Bitto DOP.

Immersed in the green heart of Valgerola, the Bar Bianco farmhouse welcomes you with the warmth of a mountain house. Here you can savor the authentic flavors of the local culinary tradition, such as Bitto cheese and fresh ricotta. In summer or winter, the farmhouse is the ideal starting point for your outdoor adventures, including excursions, ski mountaineering and snowshoeing.

At Bocchetta (2202 m), in addition to the beautiful view of the Lombardy mountains, you can explore the remains of the First World War front.

Monte Rotondo is located in Val Gerola. The peak is at 2469 meters, where a statue of the Madonna dominates and from which you can admire a magnificent landscape.
