Between Kolby and the Kolby Kås harbor lies the well-preserved Kolby Mølle, a Dutch windmill that operated from 1889 to 1947. Several times during the summer, it is brought to life by a windmill guild, allowing visitors to experience the technology and atmosphere up close. It will be closed in 2024 due to unexpected renovations, but a visit afterward will be all the more worthwhile.

Nestled just on the edge of the island, these Bronze Age Burial Mounds near Sælvig Bay make for an interesting stop. The site is around 6,000 years old, and the view is also excellent.

On the coast, where the former island of Gammelholm, now a high and steep peninsula, juts out into the water, is one of the most beautiful places on the Stavnsfjord.

A beautiful, easy walk with a variety of scenery and very few people. If you love rocks, like us, you'll need a bit more time at this beach. 😄 The view from the burial mound on the beach is impressive.
