The church in Vuiteboef stands on the edge of the village, on a slight rise. From the church, you have a beautiful panoramic view stretching all the way to the Alps. A sign above the entrance indicates that the church was built in 1904.

The hiking trail through the Covatannaz Gorge is beautifully laid out and offers breathtaking views down into the Arnon River. More exposed sections are equipped with metal railings, making this easy hike suitable for families.

The hiking trail through the Covatannaz Gorge becomes very narrow here due to the terrain and leads directly along the high rock walls. Further down, or rather beside you, the Arnon stream rushes through the gorge. Over a distance of approximately three kilometers, it descends a difference in altitude of about 450 meters.

Ste-Croix train station in the canton of Vaud is located at the terminus of the narrow-gauge railway from Yverdon-les-Bains. It connects the mountain village with the Swiss Plateau and serves as an important starting point for hikes in the Jura. The historic building reflects Alpine charm, while modern technology ensures reliable rail service.

Small pass crossing. The road is narrow, so hikers have to be careful, as there was surprisingly heavy traffic during our hike on a Friday.
