The late-Gothic church on the market square was built in the 15th century and is surrounded by a wall with 2 late-Gothic portals. In 1425 a Corpus Christi fraternity was approved, and in 1449 it was made a parish. The nave is under a high gable roof, the drawn-in low chancel is surrounded by 3-edged struts. The mighty tower in the north corner of the choir has a pointed helmet. Inside, the pillar church has late-Gothic star rib vaults with fan-like vault approaches over consoles. In the chancel there are net ribs over pilasters.

The Calvary Chapel, built and consecrated in 1753 under Pastor Anton Josef Weichsler, is a branch church of the parish of Sachsenburg. However, the Sachsenburg Calvary Chapel was not built as the conclusion of the Way of the Cross, but was included in the Passion as the XII. station involved. This is followed to the west by the XIII. Station, and the conclusion forms as XIV station the Sepulchral Chapel, a replica of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The sacred building consists of a late baroque long building with a three-eighth end, a curved west gable and a ridge turret.
