The row of trees is beautiful, the trees are majestic, but the road to get there from Sarnico consists of short cycle paths and a provincial (state?) road that is quite narrow and heavily trafficked. Continuing past the trees towards Tavernola, you'll have to pass through a tunnel, about 1km long, which is dark and therefore very dangerous. I recommend avoiding it if your bike isn't equipped with front and rear lights.

The Parish Church of San Giovanni Battista is located in Monte Isola, in the town of Carzano. Built north of the town in a small clearing along the path to Sensole, it marks the transition from a previous 15th-century religious building. This new religious structure, dating to the first half of the 18th century, was built during a period of fervent religious activity and significant economic development. The façade, inspired by the Baroque style, is divided into two distinct sections, separated by a projecting stringcourse enriched with dentil moldings, and ends with a curvilinear pediment resting on an entablature. The niches, placed between the pairs of pilasters, characterized by a Tuscan style on the first tier and a Composite style on the second, house the statues of Saints Peter, Paul, John the Baptist, and Ambrose, dating back to the 18th century. Monte Isola

This island in the middle of Lake Iseo is Europe's largest inland lake island. A detour is certainly worthwhile, but according to the notice at the shipping company's pier, crossing by bicycle is not permitted from March to September.

Note how these splendid plants have adapted to this lake environment and give a wonderful appearance to the whole surrounding area.
