7月 28, 2025, Peace Frame by Nall, Pietrasanta
The monumental frame by American sculptor Nall, which dominates the entrance to Via Mazzini-Piazza Crispi as you approach from the Piazza Statuto parking lot, has returned to its original location. Since its installation in 2006, it has become one of the historic center's main artistic attractions. The sculpture has undergone a delicate restoration by the Fonderia Versiliese. Donated to the city of Pietrasanta by the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the large frame is once again in perfect condition. The planned careful but rapid conservation restoration, which lasted about a month, was also completed. The frame was placed on a new base at street level. 9月 15, 2024, Battistero di Pietrasanta
The Baptistery of Pietrasanta, also known as the Battistero di Pietrasanta, is located right next to the Duomo di San Martino. This chapel is a beautiful example of medieval architecture and offers a serene and historic atmosphere. Inside the baptistery, you will find several remarkable baptismal fonts. One of the most striking is a hexagonal baptismal font from the 14th century, originally from the Duomo. In addition, there are baptismal fonts from the 16th century, which also have a rich history and artistic value. The chapel itself is simple yet elegant, with a peaceful atmosphere that invites reflection and contemplation. It is a beautiful place to visit, especially if you are interested in religious art and history.

9月 15, 2024, Historic Center of Pietrasanta
The Museo dei Bozzetti (Museum of Sketches) in Pietrasanta is a unique place that offers a fascinating insight into the creative process of sculptors. Housed in the former convent of Sant’Agostino, the museum houses over 700 sketches, models and drawings by more than 350 Italian and foreign artists12. The collection consists mainly of small sketches and life-size models that show the preparatory steps of a sculptor. These works are often as impressive as the final sculptures and provide a deep insight into the artistic vision and technique of the artists2. The museum is a must-see for art lovers and offers a unique opportunity to follow the evolution of a work of art, from concept to completion.

9月 15, 2024, Pietrasanta
Since 1960, Pietrasanta has attracted sculptors from all over the world, not only for the marble of Versilia and the Carrara basin, but also for the mastery of local stonemasons and, more surprisingly, bronze casters. The hundred local workshops also copy and restore many works of art.

9月 15, 2024, Pieve di Santo Stefano di Vallecchia
The Pieve di Santo Stefano di Vallecchia is a church of Romanesque origin located in Vallecchia, a hamlet of the municipality of Pietrasanta. The church is located along the Via Francigena, which passes right in front of the church facade. The bell tower is on the right and its renovation dates back to the first decade of the 21st century. The foundations of the complex date back to the 8th century AD, while the current architecture dates back to the 11th century. The oldest parts were built using local marble from the nearby Monte Solaio. The interior is divided into three naves, separated by columns with Romanesque capitals and ancient pillars. In a niche in the third pillar of the left nave is kept a beautiful statue of the Madonna and Child, dating back to the 14th century. The rich furnishings of the parish church are completed by the polychrome marble confessionals from the 17th century, a 16th century crucifix behind the altar, and the marble pulpit with rich Baroque decorations.

9月 15, 2024, Boven Versilia
Versilia is a coastal strip with sandy beaches that slopes gradually down to the sea from the Apuan Alps. Since the nineteenth century, various fashionable seaside resorts have emerged in the coastal area. Over the years, these have grown together into a large agglomeration. There are few high-rise buildings in the coastal area; the buildings generally do not rise above the pine forests (pineta). The area of the municipalities of Seravezza and Stazzema, which are located in the hilly region, is referred to as Alta Versilia (High Versilia).
