Beautiful beer garden in the monastery courtyard.

The Würzburg Gate stands at the eastern end of Miltenberg's old town. Together with the Mainz Gate at the western end of the town, it forms the historic end of the old town. The gate is part of the old city fortifications, built in the 14th century. Originally, the gate served as a means of defense and control: Anyone wishing to enter the city had to pass through here and often pay tolls or taxes. The name "Würzburger Tor" derives from the direction toward Würzburg – the road led (and still leads) in this direction.

The bike paths on this side of the Main are simply perfect. From Miltenberg to Aschaffenburg, you can cycle wonderfully.

The town of Eschau has completed a comprehensive renovation of the listed historic town hall. Following completion, the building, including the Market Hall, Council Chamber, and Council Chamber, will be available for cultural use.

The lock crossing is not suitable for e-bikes. There is no bridge over the Main River from here to Wertheim. Those who want to cross to the railway should use the bridge in Freudenberg.
