The town of Eschau has completed a comprehensive renovation of the listed historic town hall. Following completion, the building, including the Market Hall, Council Chamber, and Council Chamber, will be available for cultural use.

A Swedish fountain for Eschau – the artist Winfried Becker didn't come up with the name himself. A "Swedish fountain" already stood at the same intersection where a market square is now to become Eschau's new center. The old pump fountain is the successor to a draw well, which had a column with a carved head, the "Swedish head."

It's absolutely impressive how many currants grow here along the bike path. On one side, there are countless bushes of red currants, and on the other, just as many bushes of black currants.
