Beautiful little church of Marsure

Frescoed in the Church of Santa Caterina in Marsure As mentioned, there are four churches in Marsure: the best known are the Madonna del Monte and the Church of San Lorenzo Martire, which gives its name to the parish. The oldest, however, is the Church of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, consecrated at the same time as the parish, and therefore almost fifty years older than the Church of San Lorenzo, consecrated in 1494. From an artistic standpoint, this is considered the most beautiful and evocative. ...it is the passage to continue the FVG3 cycle path: it is a narrow passage, you almost don't notice it, but you just have to go from the square to the other side of the road. Immediately you come across a beautiful stone arch that leads into the green area of Parco Larissa or Parco di Villa Menegozzi It is the garden of Palazzo Menegozzi, the large white structure that dominates the square: the little road leads to the park of the villa. Brick houses along the road, often closed doors ... but if they open ... what beauties they hide

Castello di Aviano gives its name to the locality of the same name near Aviano.
