Originally known as Porta della Fiera, it was rebuilt in 1841 in its current form; it faces via Occidentale, former state road 363, next to the Torre Adriana. The structure, articulated around a round arch, has a regular stone facing only on the external facade. On the top there is a pediment with a coat of arms and an inscription commemorating the date of inauguration of the road.

the road is very pleasant especially after Canosa Sannita between olive trees and vineyards with a very slight climb. This year I made a detour on the neighboring municipal roads. Fun especially if you have a gravel. All asphalt anyway.

The Costa dei Trabocchi is a cycle/pedestrian path that allows you to admire the platforms stretched out over the sea used by fishermen. These buildings are typical of the central-southern part of Abruzzo: it is possible to have lunch or dinner inside them.

The trabocco or travocco is an imposing construction made of Aleppo pine wood typical of the areas of the middle Adriatic. It is malleable and capable of withstanding the saltiness and the strong gusts of the mistral that lash the Adriatic. Typically, the overflow consists of a platform jutting out over the sea anchored to the rock by large trunks, from which two or more long arms, called "antennas", extend, suspended a few meters from the water, which support an enormous mesh narrow: the "balance".

The Costa dei Trabocchi on the side of Fossacesia Marina deserves to be visited for the suggestiveness of the place, determined by the stupendous quality of the sea that every year obtains the Blue Flag, the presence of the Trabocchi di Punta Rocciosa, Punta Cavalluccio, Punta Torre, the presence of the Via Verde cycle / pedestrian post, a 42 km cycle infrastructure that also insists on this territory and which will constitute an important driving force for the revival of the local economy in Abruzzo, precisely through slow cycling tourism.

Costa dei Trabocchi is an interesting stretch of coast, as the typical sandy beaches of the Adriatic coast of Italy in the coastal area of the Gargano (Puglia) passed. On the Costa Trabocchi, the Molise region also has a small share, which otherwise spread in the hinterland and until the late nineties was part of the Abruzzo region.
