A magical place in the middle of the plateau. Accessible by road from Terranera and by the trails that cut through the valley, easily accessible even on gravel bikes.

A beautiful bike path connecting Terranera to Fontevignone. The gravel surface is excellent, so be careful on the descents, but the road is wide and quiet. The view at the top is beautiful, with a small rest area (no fountains).

The archaeological site of Peltuinum, located in Abruzzo, preserves the remains of an ancient Roman city along the cattle track that connected Rome to the Adriatic. Among its walls, temples, and theater, it offers a fascinating journey through Roman history and culture.

I have been there in June and it is mesmerizing! Definately worth the sweat 😅
