Every year at Pentecost, Thus is a festival. The weir is opened and the waterfall flows. A little further on, you'll find the overflow, which creates another waterfall, for example, when the snow melts. The stream was artificially created to supply the Thusmühle (mill) with water.

From this exact spot you can just see the bowl (= highest viewing rock with pulpit) of the Grosser Waldstein in the distance.

The Wunderlich family offers home-baked bread and, as a specialty, homemade Quärkla, a type of hand cheese, as well as very good home-cooked food. They only open on weekends (reservation required).

A solid stone bridge with a striking blue railing connects the village with the Röslau floodplains.
