The Martello refuge (or Marteller Hütte in German) is located at about 2,160 meters above sea level, at the top of the Val Martello and well inside the Stelvio National Park. Beautiful view from the terrace. Huttenwaard Bruno is very nice and clearly does his work with passion. He also guides tours and works at the Bergrettung. Tasty food, lots of choice, also vegetarian.

A vantage point at its best and probably the smallest hut in the region. A rustic hut without frills and frills. Very friendly owners. The landlady conjures up simple dishes and tasty snacks with bacon and homemade cheese

Great alpine pasture. The innkeepers alone are worth the climb. And you should definitely try the pine, which the host usually offers you to sample after consumption! Be sure to take warm clothes to wear over the top, as 1. there is no roof up there, 2. it is usually very windy and gets cold quickly. 😊😊

super quaint little hut, all dishes are freshly prepared in-house. Very small selection, but very tasty. The hut is quite remote, but it is definitely worth a detour. There is also a real toilet up there.

A very inviting alpine pasture. Perfect for a final stop. Delicious and reasonably priced food. The Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) is especially tasty. :) Overnight stays are also possible.

The Zufallhütte is beautifully situated at an altitude of 2264 m at the end of the Martell valley. From here you have a great view down into the Martell valley. It serves as a starting point for hikes z. B. to the Cevedale (but is already mountaineering) or as a transition over the Madritschjoch into the Sulden valley. And it is one of the few AV huts in the entire Alpine region that has a sauna. A visit and, above all, an overnight stay there is definitely worth it.
