Direct testimony to the First World War, Forte Corno was part of the five original fortifications that formed the "Lardaro barrier" and made up an imposing defensive system, which dominated and controlled the Chiese Valley from above. By chance we rode our bikes straight through the open gate into the castle courtyard. Unfortunately there was no restaurant there that we had hoped for😏 We were politely complimented on leaving immediately afterwards 😅

Almost unreal beautiful with the table mountains. An absolute highlight on my alpine crossing.

From here you have a great view down to Lake Garda. Further down the road is a nice snack restaurant.

Incredibly beautiful area, on the one hand the nearby gorge, which you can admire, the waterfalls Casade di Mezzola and Stenico with its table mountains in the background top it all off.

Monumental castle that can be visited by booking a guided tour. It hosts cultural events, horticultural courses and summer camps to give new serenity to many people affected by family illnesses or psychosocial difficulties. Stenico is a small and welcoming town in Trentino immersed in a wonderful mountain scenery. The imposing castle built on a hill dominates the roofs of the houses from above and adds a touch of magic to this town.
