Urgnano Castle, or Rocca Albani, has a long and complex history, beginning in the 14th century as a Visconti fortification, with defensive and strategic functions along the main communication routes. After being the scene of clashes between factions, it passed to the Colleoni family, then to the Longhi family, and finally, in the 16th century, to the Albani counts.
