Between 1375 and 1381, Cansignorio della Scala reinforced the walls surrounding the city, interspersed with about twenty towers and protected by three gates, and built the Scaligero Castle, which was part of the complex of defensive structures in the Verona area. In the second half of the 19th century, the castle was bought by Count Giovanni Battista Buri, who restored it and surrounded it with a beautiful park that combines the charm of nature with love for the Middle Ages.

A very characteristic historic village, with a castle that can be visited

Castellaro Lagusello is a fraction of Monzambano. The village stands on a small hill overlooking a heart-shaped lake. The lake and the castle, dating back to 1100-1200, give its name to the small village it is part of. Access to the lake requires a fee as it is private property.

Nice historical place. If you really want it to be nice, check out Lazise before the store opens in the morning. Afterwards they feel like they are in a big German city.

Lazise has a special flair. But if you want to eat well, I have to look for something outside. Cycling along the lake is mostly comparable to an obstacle race, but here you don't want to unwind kilometers, but rather glide along comfortably.
