Rezzanello Castle is located in the hamlet of Rezzanello, in the municipality of Gazzola, in the province of Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna. This medieval castle is located on the slopes of Mount Bissago, on the right bank of the Luretta stream. The castle has a fascinating history that dates back to the 10th century. It was mentioned for the first time in a document from 1001, when the bishop of Piacenza granted the Benedictine monks of the monastery of San Savino some lands, including the castle area. Over the centuries, the castle has seen numerous changes of ownership and has undergone several structural modifications, especially at the beginning of the 20th century, when it was transformed into a stately residence.
