Nice place to linger

Bridge on a secondary road that connects provincial roads 160 and 24, cutting off traffic. Following the road you reach the sanctuary of San Mauro. Beautiful view of the Maira stream. A nature trail starts from the southern head of the bridge.

Beautiful church with a baroque-neoclassical facade in exposed brick, with an interesting double elliptical "figure eight" rose window. Next to it, a fountain (with drinkable water) with a passage from the Canticle of the Creatures inscribed (obviously, "Laudato si' mi' Signore per sor Acqua").

Sculptural fountain dedicated to the three Graces (don't snicker over there). In a pretty little square on the main road of Caraglio towards the Grana valley, it is very impressive.

Spectacular church, which is hard to see from the narrow streets of the center of Caraglio - but in front there is a street wide enough to allow a full view of the facade, finding the right angle. Structure between neoclassical and baroque, polychrome, with beautiful decorations, which makes a lot of impact.

Cascina-torre, probably an ancient fortified farmhouse, which gives its name to the place where it is located. It stands out from afar. To see it up close you have to go down a side street that I'm not entirely sure is not private - however the residents did not chase me away, which is a good sign. The road that leads to the hamlet is very little traffic, tree-lined, and bordered by a canal: a nice route for a trip.

Ancient villa-palazzina in Torre Roa. A bit neglected, but still very impressive. It gives an idea of what it meant to be a wealthy landowner in times gone by.

Roadside chapel, in a secluded position, reached by a beautiful tree-lined avenue. The chapel was restored not so long ago (an inscription on the facade reports the date 1990). On the avenue, in the shade, there are benches and a fountain. A nice place for a break, a nice destination for a trip.
