Place frequented by many cyclists.

After passing Bardineto, a long and splendid descent begins, offering breathtaking views of Loano and its coast. Be careful, though, as the road is very narrow in places, barely allowing one car to pass at a time, and it has several potholes. Therefore, despite the temptation, you shouldn't descend too quickly.

Castelvecchio Castle in Rocca Barbena dominates the medieval village of the same name, perched on a rocky spur in the Savona hinterland. A former stronghold of the Del Carretto marquises, it was built for military and defensive purposes, and its strategic location made it the fulcrum of feudal power over the valley below. Today, the imposing manor is reduced to a fascinating ruin, its ruins revealing centuries of history. Although no longer intact, the atmosphere surrounding it is highly evocative. Its crumbling walls and towers have become the symbol of the village, a true testament to its glorious past.

The parish church of Montezemolo, located a little outside the town center, on the road to Alba, enjoys a picturesque setting, nestled between the road and the woods, and offers a beautiful view.

A small village, but an important road junction: here, the Panoramica delle Langhe (from Montezemolo to Alba) and the provincial road from Ceva to Altare and Savona meet. At the intersection (roundabout), a bar is very popular with motorcyclists and cyclists. Inside, on the Panoramica road, are several ancient buildings, including, somewhat hidden, the Town Hall and the chapel next to it. The village deserves some attention.

A small park centered around a giant bench and a heart-shaped sculpture. Picnic tables and a recently built café with restrooms are available. Unfortunately, there's no water fountain, but given the location, that's understandable. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
