At the Rifugio Don Barbera, a large number of e-bikes can be charged (approx. 15-20). During peak season, the shed with the sockets is mercilessly overcrowded with bikes and it's a real shambles. Longer waiting times at the food counter. If you don't need to charge, I recommend driving on to the Rifugio Gardetta. very popular refuge as you can get there by car (as long as there is space, then they close the road). It is also the starting point for many excursions.

The pass, actually just across the border, is the only way to get from the Monesi valley to the French side and the only cycle path.

The Don Barbera Refugio is located in the heart of the Natural Park of the Marguareis under the Colle dei Signori. The Refugio is open from 06/15 to 10/15 unless otherwise required due to weather conditions, it has 45 beds in rooms and dormitories and offers food and beverages.
