Lichtenau is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Rothenbuch in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg. The original Lichtenau stud farm belonged to the Electorate of Mainz in the late Middle Ages. From 1813 to 1871, an iron hammer was located there.
