Monte Sirente is a mountain in the Abruzzo Apennines, 2349 meters high, which is part of the Sirente-Velino Park. It is a destination for hikers and nature lovers, from the top you have a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape.

The Canale Majori is a predominantly winter access route to Monte Sirente. It is a very steep and narrow gully and must be traveled very carefully given the risk of falling rocks from the rock walls. It must be tackled with the right equipment and only in excellent physical condition. In summer, given the detrital nature of the terrain, it is particularly uncomfortable and demanding.
