The Marruvium Amphitheater represents one of the most significant archaeological testimonies of Roman power in the Marsi territory. Built around the 2nd century AD, the structure still retains parts of its imposing opus reticulatum walls and the elliptical shape of the original arena. Although it was partially stripped of its materials for other constructions in the past, it remains a fundamental symbol of the ancient Marruvian capital, once capable of hosting thousands of spectators for gladiatorial games.

A very technical climb due to the loose cobblestone surface and the slopes that make it very difficult to find traction.

All in all, the surface is firm (but rocky) for most of the descent and by taking advantage of the edges and grassy areas you can go down while remaining in the saddle, but it requires good skill, especially if you have a loaded bike.
