Tiriolo is a charming village in Calabria, southern Italy, known as the "place between two seas." It is picturesquely situated on a hill overlooking the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas. Tiriolo boasts ancient roots, a rich history, traditional craftsmanship, and a welcoming, authentic atmosphere.

This fairy-tale village was founded in the 1930s and was an excellent tourist destination in the 1950s and 1960s. The Grande Albergo delle Fate was a luxury accommodation facility.

Tiriolo is the land of two seas: from the top of the town, from the Castle Park, you can clearly see the boundary of the Calabrian emerged lands that winds between the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas. A unique emotion! But Tiriolo is also a center rich in history and traditions where some of the best Calabrian artisans live: potters like Corrado Rotundo, weavers like Mirella Leone and luthiers like Tommaso Leone. The Regional Costume Museum and the Antiquarium are very interesting, as well as the magnificent historical centre.

Simple route until you reach the stretch where the stream begins. Here you need to be able to move from one bank to the other, therefore I recommend waterproof shoes or at least a second pair, the risk that your feet end up in the water is high due to the slippery stones.

Villaggio Mancuso seems to come out of a fairy tale. This place is one of a kind. It was founded in the 1930s; in the fifties and sixties it was the destination par excellence for wealthier tourists. The Grande Albergo delle Fate was a luxury accommodation facility.

Access to the Pink Grotto is facilitated by the presence of ropes which give extra safety on the rocks which can be slippery.

Tiriolo is a charming city in the province of Catanzaro. Here there are noble palaces, churches, the remains of the castle and the Costume Museum.
