The chateau was sold to the pharmacist Ottokar Daubrava without the forest property. On August 11, 1921, the castle was purchased by Johann Kiener from Atzbach. The remaining parts of the once extensive complex (hospital building) are still privately owned today. A pond is still reminiscent of the demolished castle; the remains of the castle are buried under the meadow next to it.

The neo-baroque high altar carries two baroque apostle figures from the old altar by Thomas Schwanthaler (1673) on the tabernacle. The side altars are neo-baroque. The left side altar bears a baroque seated Madonna in the style of Thomas Schwanthaler and two baroque top figures Johannes Nepomuk and Donatus by Joachim Ertl from Lambach (1773). The right side altar bears the late baroque figures Florian and Sebastian von Ertl (1771). The classical pulpit was created by Joseph Teitl from Linz (1790).

A retracted two-bay choir with a five-eighth note joins the single-nave four-bay nave. The nave and chancel are lunette barrel vaulted. The three-axis west gallery is baroque. The west tower, probably made baroque in 1737/1738, was changed after a fire (1946) and finished in 1958 with an onion dome.

A church was mentioned in documents at the beginning of the 13th century. The Gothic church building is from the second half of the 15th century, the altar was consecrated in 1497. From 1697 to around 1700, the baroque style was carried out according to the plans of Carlo Antonio Carlone with the master mason Leonhard Endthofer von Vöcklabruck.

The Roman Catholic parish church of Atzbach is in the town of Atzbach in the municipality of Atzbach in the district of Vöcklabruck in Upper Austria. The church, dedicated to the birth of Mary, belongs to the Schwanenstadt deanery in the diocese of Linz. The church is under monument protection.
