The inn was first documented in 1416 as "Zellhof" and has since been synonymous with hospitality and relaxation on the picturesque Irrsee lake in Zell. The menu is very varied, with a different daily special. The value for money is excellent, and the staff is very friendly.

The church was first mentioned in documents in 1107. The church was consecrated in 1441 and partially rebuilt in 1672.

The Lindenbauernkapelle is a sacred gem in the Mondseeland high above the Irrsee. Due to the view, the chapel is a special place of luck. The Lindenbauernkapelle was built between 1820-1830 in Lindau in Zell am Moos and named after the Lindenbauer next to it. Today it is owned by the municipality of Zell am Moos. However, the Lindenbauer still cares lovingly for this little chapel today. The linden tree was considered by the Teutons to be a sacred tree, and according to their belief, those were inhabited by good spirits, who bring consolation and help to those who pass by. In 1885 the Hauskapelle des Lindenbauer was hit by a house fire. However, it was rebuilt from the residual stones of the new building.
