Very exciting museum, great treatment of Nazi history. Beautifully located on the edge of the forest, invites you to take a walk

A great view into the former quarry can be enjoyed here

On the grounds of the Archaeological Open Air Museum there are reconstructions of buildings from the Stone Age (Paleolithic, Middle Stone Age, Neolithic), through the Bronze Age to the Early Middle Ages. The reconstructions also make history understandable and very interesting for non-archaeologists!

The berths with the great view are very popular.

Persistent drought and bark beetles have also badly affected the spruce population here. In 2021, a donation of 150 oak trees allowed the call to progress.

The paths in and around the Dören Gorge run through a beautiful forest. Despite the beautiful weather at Pentecost, we only met very few hikers on the paths.
