Fantastic 180-degree view to the south, several seating options, including tables. Good for colder temperatures due to its sunny location.

A beautiful, natural hiking trail that runs parallel to the forest path, always along the Epping Lines. In some places where the ditch has been filled in to create forest roads, you also have a good view of the cross-section of the former defense system.

A trench, still clearly visible as part of the Epping Line, runs across the forest. Since the trench was filled in at this point to make way for a forest path, one also has a good view of the cross-section of the defensive system.

Information panel about the wooden guardhouses (=chartaques), which were located along the Epping Lines and manned by 10 to 30 men for defense. At this point, only the foundation and the ditch are clearly visible; replicas of the wooden towers also exist in other locations.

Very nice section along the Eppinger Line.

The Eppingen Line with the Sternenschanze defense system ran over the Sauberg. Along the upper edge of the mountain you can still see a lot of the defense trenches and walk along them.
