Camp Hverringe is a genuine beach campsite. If you have your own boat, you can also moor it at the campsite. During the summer months, you can rent SUP boards and kayaks.

A beautiful town hall dating from the 1880s. It replaced the older building on the same site. A lovely ensemble with the church in the market square.

The Amanda statue is the symbol of Kerteminde. It was created in 1954 by the artist Robert Lund Jensen and symbolizes the beautiful, graceful daughters of the town. The story of Amanda comes from a girl whose real name was Sophie Krag. Sophie was a young girl from Kerteminde who suffered a sad fate and died of an illness at the age of only 40. She was one of eight children of the watchmaker Edvard Krag and his wife Marie Catrine Ovesen Wittrock. At the age of 20, she traveled to Copenhagen to emulate her sister Augusta Møller and become an actress. She received a job as a revue actress at the Nørrebro Theater, was quickly accepted into the acting world, and became engaged to the writer Anton Melbye, who was ten years older. According to the story, she met an old acquaintance from Kerteminde, the law student Wilhelm Nielsen, with whom she began a flirtation despite their engagement. The end of the story was a tragic annulment of the engagement. The upper middle class was outraged, and a good friend of Anton's, the composer Axel Schwanenflügel, wrote the song "Harper i luften" (Harps in the Air) for the Winter Revue in 1893 – the famous song that begins with the line "Min Amanda var fra Kerteminde" (My Amanda was from Kerteminde). The town of Kerteminde has, of course, long since forgiven its "Amanda" for her unfaithful debauchery and erected a monument to her as a symbol of the beautiful and graceful daughters of Kerteminde, whom one simply cannot help but love. The word Amanda comes from Latin and means "the lovable one." https://www.visitkerteminde.de/kerteminde/sehenswuerdigkeiten/amanda

Drigstrup Church is dedicated to St. Nicholas and has a Romanesque choir and nave, along with a late Gothic tower and porch. Of the original wall openings, only the south door remains. In the late Gothic period, the eight-ribbed cross vault in the choir and nave was added, and the choir walls were raised at the same time, so that their roof ridge is flush with the nave's roof ridge. Somewhat later, around the Reformation period, the low tower with a stepped gable was added. The current altarpiece, a copy of Murillo's Madonna in a Baroque frame, was installed in 1924. https://www.visitkerteminde.de/kerteminde/reiseplanung/drigstrup-kirche-gdk613573

At Hverringe Estate, past and present, nature and culture, production and conservation come together. The history of Hverringe goes back several hundred years. In 1768, Hverringe became the owner's house. The current beautiful, three-winged building was built around 1790 by Hans Rudolph Iuel, who is best known for his efforts during the Napoleonic Wars, where he led an expedition against the English troops on Romsø in 1809. 100 Englishmen were taken prisoner of war and, for lack of better accommodation, imprisoned in Kerteminde Church. The winery is still owned by the Iuel-Reventlow family. Today, it is run as a modern, large-scale business specializing in grass seed. The winery is another major property owner on Hindsholm. The main building is unfortunately private and therefore not open to visitors. https://www.visitkerteminde.dk/kerteminde/planlaeg-din-tur/hverringe-gods-gdk613483

Stubberup Church was formerly called the "White Virgin" and served as a navigational landmark for sailors on the Great Belt. It dates from the years 1100-1200. Around 1500, the nave was enlarged so that the church could accommodate more people. From the outside, the oldest part, from the Romanesque period, can be seen, featuring a round-arch frieze. The tower was completed around 1600, the church's richly carved pulpit dates from around 1580, and the altarpiece dates from 1632. There is an old legend that a man named Marshal Stig died on the Møllerup estate and was buried beneath the floor of Stubberup Church. https://www.visitkerteminde.dk/kerteminde/planlaeg-din-tur/stubberup-kirke-gdk613545

Egeskov Castle is a major tourist attraction in Denmark because it is the most beautiful and best-preserved moated castle in all of Europe. For over 450 years, Egeskov has been situated in a scenic setting in the south of the island of Funen. The main building, completely surrounded by water, was built by Frands Brockenhuus and completed in 1554. He was a wealthy landowner and needed a fortress that was difficult to conquer to protect against raids, so he had it built in the middle of a marshy area. To fortify the foundation, an entire oak forest was felled, and the piles were driven into the lake bed. The castle is surrounded by a unique and award-winning park that immediately captivates every visitor. https://www.medienwerkstatt-online.de/lws_wissen/vorlagen/showcard.php?id=21736
