The Welden Ponds were created over 300 years ago and are part of the protected landscape areas in the Landsberg am Lech district. These are ideal for swimming, often very quiet, and offer various hiking options. The largest pond has a restaurant and a large parking lot.

Healing source of life - connected to the source

The former pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the parish church of Oberostendorf in the Allgäu. The Oberostendorf pilgrimage to the Sorrowful Mother of God began around 1500 and lasted until 1810. The rich furnishings of the church bear witness to this. The base of the tower, the chancel and the core of the nave have been preserved from the original late Gothic building (around 1497). The exterior and interior were baroque in the 17th and 18th centuries. In 1681 the tower was raised by the Wessobrunn master builder Caspar Feichtmayr, and in 1709 the sacristy was added by Joseph Schmuzer. In 1747 Franz Kleinhans renewed the sign and the curved volute gable. The stucco decoration attributed to Franz Xaver Feuchtmayer and the frescoes by Johann Georg Wolcker were also created around this time. The coat of arms of the Augsburg Prince-Bishop Joseph is placed above the chancel arch. The miraculous image on the high altar is a Pietà from 1460/70.
