This landscape is simply stunningly beautiful

You can walk around the lake and there is a lot of variety. Dark forests, wide meadows and pastures, moorland areas, paths and trails, idyllic canal crossings, bathing spots and often a great view of the lake.

This cycle path is actually a nice connection between Zechlinerhütte and Rheinsberg, especially in an area where there are still too few cycle paths and too many dangerous country roads or sandy paths through the forests that are not suitable for cycling. But unfortunately this cycle path is developing backwards - many root breakthroughs that were "solved" by simply removing the asphalt... Please renovate the bike path!

The museum provides information about the life and work of the geophysicist and Greenland researcher Alfred Wegener. The founder of the continental drift theory spent several summers as a child with his grandparents in Zechlinerhütte.
