歴史的な市庁舎は17世紀初頭にヴェーザー・ルネサンス様式で建てられました。 半円形の頂部を持つ切妻屋根（「ウェルシュ・ギーベル」）が特徴です。現在、歴史的な市庁舎には戸籍課、観光案内所、そして「ラートケラー」が入居しています。 建物の裏側には、ゴシック時代のレリーフプレートがあり、飲んでいる猿が描かれています。これは、暴食または不節制という悪徳の表現を象徴しているとされています。 シュターデハーゲン市のゴシック様式の美しい古い市庁舎で、多くの木組みの家が建つマルクト広場にあります。
