There are excellent cycling paths along the entire Weser Cycle Route. A visit is highly recommended. From here, you have a magnificent view of the Porta Westfalica.

Built in 1913 in the Neo-Renaissance style, the “Old District Court” is one of the completely preserved smaller Prussian district courts in Westphalia.

The Meßlingen mill is a historic post mill and a beautiful photo opportunity in the middle of nature. It is perfect as a stopover for cycling and hiking tours. There are occasional guided tours and there are rest areas nearby where you can take a break.

The Minden Waterway Crossing is an impressive engineering marvel in Germany. It is the largest double waterway crossing in the world, where the Mittelland Canal crosses the River Weser. This impressive structure includes a 341-meter-long canal bridge that allows ships to cross the river. The waterway crossing includes two locks: the Minden Schachtschleuse and the Minden Weserschleuse. These locks help ships to overcome the 13-meter difference in height between the canal and the river. There is also an information center on site where visitors can learn more about the history and technology behind this remarkable structure.
