Lake Ziegelsee in Mölln is a true natural paradise with a maritime flair – a place that offers both peace and activity. With an area of approximately 36 hectares and a depth of up to 6.4 meters, the lake is nestled in the Herzogtum Lauenburg district and is crossed by the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. This makes it not only scenically attractive but also attractive for water sports enthusiasts: whether stand-up paddleboarding, motorboating, or simply a leisurely stroll along the shore – everyone will find their rhythm here. Particularly charming are the boat dock and the proximity to Mölln's historic old town, which gives the lake an almost Mediterranean atmosphere. Lake Ziegelsee is also a popular spot for anglers, and even dogs will find their fill at the dog bathing area. In short: Lake Ziegelsee is more than just a body of water – it is a lively meeting place for nature lovers, connoisseurs, and anyone who wants to escape everyday life for a moment. A lake with soul and many perspectives. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ziegelsee_(M%C3%B6lln)

The new, quaint "tunnel toll machine" at the Doktorhofwegweg Tunnel in Mölln made me smile today. It's really great, very well thought out, and the witty "instructions" immediately put you in a good mood, and of course, you don't have to pay anything. 😂

Interesting stone that looks like the gravestone of Eulenspiegel, who is said to have slid vertically into the grave during his funeral and thus played a final prank.

This memorial stone for Till Eulenspiegel, who allegedly died in 1350, stands here in an exterior niche of St. Nicholas Church in the historic old town of Mölln, the Eulenspiegel town. The stone is said to have been turned over; the design of the current exterior dates from the 16th century and depicts the jester with the artifacts that give him his name: in one hand he holds a mirror, in the other an owl. https://buskompass.de/literatur/die-eulenspiegelstadt-moelln-geschichten-von-brunnen-und-schelmen/

This is located in a niche in the tower of the parish church of St. Nicolai. The council commissioned it in 1544. The unknown sculptor used the back of a Marian stele made of Gotland limestone. The figure of the fool was originally painted green, red and yellow. The sculptor took the Middle Low German inscription from a predecessor from the 15th century without understanding the rhymes. This older "tombstone" is described in the book by "Thyl Vlenspiegel" - it only showed an owl and a mirror. Its existence was confirmed by a traveler in 1536. The preserved stone bears the inscription: SOURCE: https://www.moelln-tourismus.de/poi/eulenspiegel-gedenkstein
