To commemorate the 600th anniversary of Eulenspiegel's death, the Mölln sculptor Karlheinz Goedtke created the bronze figure of the jester in 1950 to crown the fountain next to Kirchberg. This popular depiction of the jester has become a symbol of the town. Goedtke also created the bronze relief of the poet George Bernard Shaw next to the fountain. Shaw was named an honorary Eulenspiegel by the town in 1950. However, he misunderstood Mölln's offer and declared himself an "honorary citizen," which the town council subsequently approved. People often meet at the Eulenspiegel fountain for a souvenir photo. The mischievous figure is particularly polished in two places – there's a reason for this: Anyone who rubs Till's thumb and toe simultaneously while making a wish will be lucky. from here there is a beautiful view of the old town of Mölln with the St. Nikolai Church.

The bridges and locks are very nice changes. The animals that you can see in the morning or in the evening when all the boats have left are impressive. We saw snakes and beavers. In addition, of course, swans and other water birds and many fish.

First cream, this section: great asphalt, hardly any traffic and varied through a few curves and the changing cultural landscape left and right (sometimes trees/bushes, sometimes fields).

If you cycle towards Lauenburg in the sunshine around noon, the sun is mostly from the front. It couldn't be better!
