The Viking Museum Haithabu is not only attractive from an architectural point of view, but also a real cultural institution in Schleswig Holstein. As a visitor, you immerse yourself in Viking history. Rune stones, jewellery, coins and even a Viking ship, once the fastest on the entire Baltic Sea, are well protected in the exhibition rooms. You can literally feel the Viking spirit in the museum's premises.

The Haithabu Viking Museum is one of the most important archaeological museums in Germany. UNESCO named the Viking Age trading center and border structure Danewerk a World Heritage Site in 2018. The exhibition house, as well as the seven reconstructed houses located on the historic site, impressively show how people lived there in the early Middle Ages.
