There are now many of them in the picturesque Spessart Nature Park: Take a seat in the shelter and enjoy the stunning view of the landscape. Dense beech and oak forests, picturesque valleys, and historic sites await you in the Spessart Nature Park. Hiking beneath giant trees that are up to 800 years old is particularly impressive, offering unforgettable nature experiences in every season, from the fresh green of spring to the colorful autumn foliage. As for wildlife, you can discover native amphibians such as the rare natterjack toad and reptiles such as the grass snake, the largest snake in the region. There are also over 120 beaver territories, and with a bit of luck, you might also spot red deer, roe deer, and wild boar, which dominate the forest. The seven woodpecker species, including the shy black woodpecker, that live in the near-natural forests are also particularly fascinating.

Definitely worth it, especially if it's been really cold for more than 3-4 days!
