The section of the Huguenot and Waldensian Trail in the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park connects forest and meadow landscapes with fascinating historical sites such as Neidenstein and Daisbach. The more than 1,800-kilometer-long European cultural hiking trail follows the historic escape route of the Huguenots and Waldensians from France and Italy through Switzerland to Bad Karlshafen, with approximately 800 kilometers running through Germany. In Baden-Württemberg, after crossing the Neckar River, the route leads through the Kraichgau and Odenwald regions, past Waldensian villages and nature parks, before continuing into the Rhine-Main region.

From the path to Daisbach, this brick "hiding place" can be seen on the right at the edge of the forest. Its purpose remains unclear.

A very beautiful old property. Unfortunately, it's not open to the public for a full tour. However, you do have a lovely view of the community of Neidenstein and the surrounding area.

In 1976, Neidenstein entered into a community partnership with the small French town of Vaucouleurs. A small space was created here for this purpose. The building right next to it has a wonderful old staircase and is also worth seeing.

The station building is almost completely overgrown with ivy. The goods hall is still standing. Hiking information is available. Neidenstein is located on the Schwarzbachtalbahn (Baden) (Meckesheim–Aglasterhausen), which is integrated into the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn network with line S 51. The S-Bahn trains run every 30 minutes during rush hour, otherwise every 60 minutes between Meckesheim and Aglasterhausen. The small town of Neidenstein offers many half-timbered houses worth seeing.

Nice sleepy place that seems to be in a fairy tale dream to this day :-) there are some older buildings in the place and the castle of the lords of Venningen
