The section of the Huguenot and Waldensian Trail in the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park connects forest and meadow landscapes with fascinating historical sites such as Neidenstein and Daisbach. The more than 1,800-kilometer-long European cultural hiking trail follows the historic escape route of the Huguenots and Waldensians from France and Italy through Switzerland to Bad Karlshafen, with approximately 800 kilometers running through Germany. In Baden-Württemberg, after crossing the Neckar River, the route leads through the Kraichgau and Odenwald regions, past Waldensian villages and nature parks, before continuing into the Rhine-Main region.

Beautifully decorated church. It is located directly in front of the main entrance to the castle park and is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Built in swampy terrain since 1274. In the following century, around 1368, the castle was expanded with the addition of the palace that still exists today. The castle became the property of the city in 1975. Since 1990, civil weddings have been held in the Knights' Hall.

The tabernacle-like, baroque "Mühlberg Chapel" made of sandstone has stood on the Mühlberg outside the former city wall since 1745. In 1912, the three sides of the originally open chapel were walled up. Inside is the miraculous image of the Schoenstatt Madonna. Until the 1950s, there was a painting of the Mount of Olives inside. The chapel was intended to be part of a Stations of the Cross that was never completed. It is probably the successor building to the former St. Sebastian Chapel. The town church was consecrated in 1612. The historic church building dates back to the existing St. Mary's Chapel, with the magnificent church tower being added in 1386.
