This Templar chapel is somewhat hidden on a working farm. If you want to discover and "experience" it, simply walk past the cows into the yard, and you'll soon see the entrance gate. Another world immediately opens up; it's always a pleasure! Here, you can "feel" the acoustics; the canon "Dona nobis pacem" is perfect for this, as are many other hymns. This gem can also be incorporated into a hike; if you combine both "Wonsheimer Walderleniswege," for example, you'll inevitably walk along the edge of the forest and can take this small, very special detour. The Seckerborn spring (also called "Brünnelschen") is located on the hilltop of Kahlenberg, northwest of Wendelsheim. Particularly beautiful agate almonds were discovered here during vineyard clearing. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the trulli, Riedertal, and the Eckelsheim surf cliff. On May 4, 1985, the new Rossmarkt fountain was inaugurated in the center of Alzey. It depicts the "horse of the minstrel Volker von Alzey with a vine-covered bowl" based on a design by the Neustadt artist Professor Gernot Rumpf. Volker von Alzey, who according to the Nibelungenlied was known as the "Baron of Alzey" and a "man of noble descent," was from Alzey. The minstrel and minstrel Volker, knight, was the master of a knightly retinue and standard bearer. He left his warhorse at the watering hole of the Rossmarkt and mingled with the people. The horse carries the minstrel's fiddle on one side and his shield with the coat of arms on the other.

When the Reformation came to Wöllstein in 1565, the originally Catholic church became a simultaneous church almost a hundred years later. In 1698, Wöllstein even had three pastors: one Catholic, one Protestant Reformed and one Evangelical Lutheran. Since this year, the church has served as a place of worship for three denominations. The pastor of the Evangelical Reformed congregation lived in the old Protestant schoolhouse while the Evangelical Lutheran pastor lived in today's Protestant rectory. The upper floor of the current Protestant church dates from 1542. The single-nave nave from 1515 was expanded to include two side aisles in 1812-16. There are small relief figures in the central nave pillars. There are three holy bishops and one holy pope, probably from 1515. Both side aisles were only added later in 1815. In 1903 the simultaneum was abolished. The Protestants were allowed to keep the old church, while the Catholics built a new church, the new Church of St. Remigius. It was rebuilt in 1880 and redesigned for the first time in 1955. It was renovated between 1990 and 1993. Back then, shades of blue and gray predominated; the benches stood just before the chancel; there was an electric footstool heater.
