Highest wooden church in Europe

Here in Ziteil, on the eastern slope of the Piz Curvér, is the highest pilgrimage site in Switzerland at 2,429 meters above sea level. The pilgrimage chapel is not always open. If you're lucky enough to have it open, I recommend checking it out inside.

Great view of the whole valley

Unfortunately there is no water outside of opening hours. So it is better to fill up at the fountain in Munter and then carry it up if necessary.

Obermutten is located at 1863 meters high above the Schin Gorge. A tiny 14th century Walser village - a handful of ancient wooden houses in the middle of a green meadow. Even the chapel in the village is made of wood. The high plateau offers incredible views of Lenzerheide, the Albula Valley and the Beverin National Park. Cakes and stamps are served directly at Gasthaus Post.

From the Muttnerhorn at 2,401 meters you have a wonderful view of Domleschg and Schams. Take a break here, turn 360 degrees and be amazed - mountain panoramas can be impressive, right?
