The Palace of Culture and Science was built between 1911 and 1913 according to a design by Marcell Komor and Dezső Jakab from Budapest. It is considered a significant example of the Hungarian Art Nouveau movement. The concert hall on the ground floor seats 800 people. The third floor houses the Museum of Fine Arts, which houses more than 1,000 works of art. The Palace of Culture and Science library contains more than 1,000 volumes.

The Orthodox Cathedral, dedicated to the "Ascension of the Lord" (Catedrala "Înălțarea Domnului"), is the largest religious building in Târgu Mureș. It was built between 1925 and 1934 according to the plans of the Timișoara architect Victor Vlad in the shape of a Greek cross. The cathedral was consecrated on December 2, 1934. On the walls of the narthex are images of the 17th-century Metropolitan Saints of Transylvania, Ilie Iorest and Sava Brancovici, framed by twelve medallions depicting Transylvania's most important Orthodox churches. The central dome features a stained-glass window depicting Christ blessing the Virgin. The altar features a twelve-meter-high mosaic depicting the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child.

The hexagonal Shoemaker's Tower (Turnul Cizmarilor) at the northeast corner of the Castle Hill was first mentioned in 1521. It was destroyed by the explosion of the gunpowder stored there during the city fire of 1676 and rebuilt in 1680. Its Baroque stylistic elements also date from this period. The bastion for the artillery, which the tower housed, was demolished in 1846. The wooden external staircase was added in 2001.

The Butcher's Tower (Turnul Măcelarilor) was built in the second half of the 15th century. It is a hexagonal structure on an octagonal ground plan, which, together with the bastion in front of it, added later, provided a wide field of fire. The tower has three floors with five loopholes.

A place that seems to be from another time. In the center of the village is the old Protestant church of the Transylvanian Saxon community. Unfortunately, it's not accessible.

The church fortress stands picturesquely on the hill above the village, surrounded by a ring wall. The west tower, which is purely a defensive tower, can be climbed via narrow wooden stairs. The history of the church probably goes back to the Hungarian Szeklers; they were the first to settle here in the Middle Ages. The interior is made entirely of wood.
