From here, the view opens up far across the rolling hills to the Thuringian Forest, the Rhön Mountains, and the Hoher Meißner. A beautiful spot for a short break – especially on a clear day, it's worth lingering for a moment and letting the expansive view sink in.

A natural and mystical path through the small gorge. Here you hike on narrow trails, past fallen trees and moss-covered stones.

The deserted settlement of Harstall marks the former site of a medieval village and the eponymous knightly family, which was first documented in 1143. Harstall was abandoned as early as 1436 – the inhabitants moved to Mihla.
