Worthwhile path off the road behind the ponds

A picturesque valley that ends in a small village – former charcoal kilns can be visited, and donkeys might stumble over your feet. The cute little houses are well worth a look!

Laasan, beyond Jena, is said to be the forgotten village. But that's not true. Napoleon's troops plundered Laasan just as much. The village that actually remained undiscovered was Meusebach. Its residents had additionally covered the unmarked path with felled trees to make it look as if there was nothing behind it. However, a Frenchman saw through this ruse and ran up the road to Meusebach. The residents had no choice but to kill the French soldier. He was buried here on this spot. A plaque next to it tells the story.

A beautiful hiking hut that can also be used for barbecues.

With a water surface area of 4,000 m² and a generous 10,000 m² of sunbathing area, the pool offers a welcome cooling off on sunny days, while enjoying the excellent quality of the fresh spring water. The adjacent mini golf course, beach volleyball court, playground, and table tennis tables provide a variety of activities.
