Love cycling from Loch Laggan to Corrour Station. The descent back is great as well; just mind the potholes!

So much birdlife in this area which Jan helps to nurture from her home at Loch Ossian hostel. Jan offers a safe haven in this wild and remote place (for birds and humans alike!)

A great place to enjoy the peace and the scenery.

Look towards the trees to find a boulder with a plaque for Angus Rodden, born 17 June 1941. I couldn’t find out who he was, but there is a nice flat tentsite just behind the boulder with a great view.

Could this be one of the most scenic estate roads in Scotland? Enjoy glimpses of Loch Ossian between the gaps in the trees as you travel along it's Northern Shores.

Lovely little back to basics hostel. Super friendly staff. Compost loo. Allowed me to camp right next to the loch. Donation in the pot :)

The Loch boasts stunning views from all corners, by my favourites are the initial ones looking across these small islands. We had cloud cover, but I'm sure on a clear day they would be even more impressive.

Beautiful stretch of good ridable hard pack gravel road leading to Loch Ossian, the youth hostel there and of course Corrour Train Station (with it's lovely restaurant / bar). The views are amazing. I'd go back here any time!

The Loch Ossian Youth Hostel is a brilliant little simplistic hostel in the remote Corrour Estate, not far from the UK's most remote train station and restaurant! There are separate dorms for men and women, although there are also rooms for families too. There's a lovely communal living room and kitchen which is great for playing cards with your friends with a wee dram! There's also composting toilets and no rubbish disposal, so you'll need to take this with you. If you'd like a hearty meal, head to the nearby Station Inn pub up the road. There's no access by road to the hostel, so you'll need to arrive on foot or by bike.

Loch Ossian is a 3 mile (5 kilometer) long Loch on the Corrour Estate on Rannoch Moor, just two kilometers from Corrour train station. It's a beautiful area, served by wide and rocky gravel roads. Stay in the Loch Ossian YHA if you're in the area and enjoy dinner at the Corrour Station House inn.
